What is it? What does it do? Do you need foundation over it?

Bb cream is like tinted moisturizer but apparently good for your skin bb cream can be used under your foundation for a smoother finish but you can wear it alone for if you don't need much coverage

It's a SPF, primer, and foundation all in 1. You can wear foundation over it. This is basic what its like...Bb creams are like those 2in1 shampoo and conditioner. Ones going to clean ok and ones going to condition ok but they're not going to work as well as having one shampoo and one conditioner that actually concentrates on the specific problem.

Bb Cream was originally manufactured as an alternative to foundation in Germany for people who had undergone laser treatments or anything that would make their face sensitive.
Asia adopted them because Asia loves skincare. The West adopted them after that because that's what we do :)
Western BB Creams are basically tinted moisturizers, with sheer coverage and little to no skincare benefits. Asian BB Creams have higher coverage and a large focus on skin care such as whitening and oil control.
Hope this helps!

Asian bb creams are way superior to the US ones. I've been using Skin79 for two years. I'm in love with it.

Moisturizer, sunscreen, and foundation all in one. Some are directed towards certain skin types and help with oil control, wrinkles/antiaging, etc.

I like wearing it under my mineral foundation since I don't like primer or concealer. It gives just the little extra coverage I need and helps my powdered foundation stay on. I have one that controls oil and has spf 20 so not being a greaseball or getting skin cancer is a plus too. Lol.

I agree, American versions are a joke! Korean is the way to go. I also use Skin79! I have oily, acne prone skin w hyperpigmentation and I need something w a fuller coverage. The Skin79 Classic Intense Balm does that for me w many great properties for your skin. And it's generally cheaper than American versions. Finding a genuine dealer is key, since they are the top Korean brand there are a ton of fakes out there!
