I am 27 and often get mistaken for a teenager. I know it's not a horrible problem, but I am a high school teacher and would like to hear any makeup tips that could help me look more mature...

Try using more neutral colors rather than bright or poppy pinks. If youre familiar with mac here are some colors I would use:
Eyes:
-Lid: Brule, Vanilla, Naked Lunch, Mylar
-Crease: Soft Brown, Cork, Quarry, Malt
-Outer Corner: Embark, Folie, Espresso, Brown Down, Charcoal Brown, Smut, Brun
-Liner: I suggest a pencil smudging and smoking it out with shadow
Cheeks:
Bronzer/Contour of your choice, but try blush colors in the family of Coppertone, Peaches, Melba, Mocha
Lips:
-Liner: Boldy Bare, Subculture
-Lipstick: Cosmo, Taupe, Spirit, Velvet Teddy
-Gloss: Cultured, Dreamy, Nymphette
