I'm in the modeling industry and far from shallow. I model freelance, and I find it to be absolutely great fun. I don't know enough about your height, weight and other stats to know if an agency would take you, but I do know that if you want to do it for fun, there are totally non stressful ways to do it! try a website like modelmayhem.com and read newmodels.com to get a good idea of what you would be getting into. and I know so many people in the industry who are FAR from shallow. They are the sweetest, most secure, most intelligent, and most encouraging people I've ever met. they are far from obsessed with their looks or their bodies and they are of all sizes and shapes. Beautiful people inside and out. So if you want to try it, you should! and I don't know what just advertisement is. Its called commercial modeling, when you advertise for a store wearing their products. if anything, yes, that is probably what you would end up in, unless you do freelance. then you do whatever you want! feel free to ask more questions!

Modeling is far from hand on hip and duck lips you hav to think of poses instantly that are creative and go with your surroundings if you had to ask it means you don't think you can do it which means you can't
It's a hard working job and I hav a feeling you aren't up to it although you are a nice cute girl

I do agree with Rose in a lot of ways. modeling is an art as well. A tip. if you ever show up on a shoot or send a picture to a photographer while making duck face, they will laugh at you, they will make fun of you, and you won't be working that day. ha It is a much hated face, and very very unflattering. I was too busy defending a life that I worked hard to get to. but on the other hand, you do have to start somewhere... just don't start with a duckface. That being said, it is an incredibly demanding line of work, especially on your body, because the poses that look good, don't feel good.
