Hey everyone (:
I'm wondering how you can go about concealing birth marks. I have this embarrassing birth mark right in the middle of my forehead and I've been using Mac Pro Longwear to conceal it. It conceals most of it but not entirely, and by the middle of the day, it will start peeking through even if I use a setting spray. So my questions are.. What would be a good concealer to use to cover up a birth mark, tips on how to conceal it flawlessly, and tips on how it can stay concealed all day?
Thank you (:

Well I have a beauty mark near my eye. its cute but sometimes I cover it up. I even the color of it to match my skin tone by first using corrector, or green correction sticks. its like green foundation. then I blend that and cover up the mark. this works with birth marks, moles, tatts, pimples, and beauty marks.

But on another note your birth mark makes you different, don't let anyone make you feel like you have to hide it. you are beautiful no matter what.

I have a large birthmark on my cheek, and honestly most of the time I don't even bother covering it up because it makes me, me! So learn to love your birth mark. In the mean time, when I cover mine up I use neutrogena skin clearing oil free makeup. I put that on the birth mark only and then a concealer around the edges, and a matte on my full face ( both concealer and matte are bare minerals) hope that helps! It works for me at least!

Estée Lauder Maximum Coverage foundation is amazing. I have used it to cover tattoos completely before. :)

I agree with Dee! Don't let anyone make you feel like you should hide it. Of course, everyone has their own reasons for covering what they feel to be flaws and such, so I've heard of Kat Von D has a great concealer. Also I don't know if you were looking to try other foundations, but revlon colorstay has good buildable coverage and should stay on really long + the concealer.

I have a big scar on my head from when I was young and I hate it, so I know how you feel about wanting to cover it up.. I use the same Mac concealer you have but I put that on straight after my primer. Then, I put my foundation on and use another concealer. YSL light reflecting. And it's AMAZING. After applying that I sponge pressed powder onto my face (used to use a brush but it lasts longer by sponging). Keep your hair off you face to stop any hair oils causing your make up to blott and try not to touch your face. I'd reccomend getting some blotting paper, as I've found setting spray sometimes make the make up look a bit wishywashy and makes the rest of the make up set, but the scar appear through a bit.. It's trial and error, really. Hope that helped! :)

I have a huge birthmark on my whole left cheek. I used to cover it with heavy foundation but now I leave it as is. I'm more confident showing it bare faced with light coverage.

Try cle de peau concealer! It is pricy but I promise you it is 100% worth the buy! Covers anything! I have a scar from a dog bite on my face where a smile line would be and when I use the concealer on that, acne marks and under eye bags and it lasts all day! I put powder over it, which I use on my entire face and that's all I do for my makeup so no foundation needed! Hope I helped!

If you show me a picture I could give you some advice :) I think colour correcting is the most important thing for covering things like that.
