Make sure when you wash your hair that you really scrub the shampoo on your scalp, but don't forget to rinse it off COMPLETELY. Dandruff often happens because of excess shampoo that hasn't been completely washed out. Also, don't apply conditioner to your scalp, just the the actual hair, as the conditioner will dry out your scalp causing you to flake! You can use tea tree shampoo/conditioner to help, as well as VO5 hot oil treatments. They work so well:) I've had dandruff and I'm slowly getting better:)

Great suggestions however sometimes dandruff is caused by a fugus so try selsun (yellow bottle) treatment... or something similar.. ull prob find it sold in a pharmacy... also dandruff can be caused by stress or irritated scalp... try changing to a sulfate / paraben free shampoo and conditioner... Natralia Nourish is excellent... also sometimes its caused by a really dry scalp so maybe a treatment (cocnut oil.. argan oil.. avocado oil) rubbed in yhe scalp 2 a week for 1 hr then wash out... don't leave it in for a day.. hair follicles need to breathe... hope this helps.

I have dandruff and my mom is such a weirdo that she decided to put body lotion in my hair. It worked! overnight! Not one flake. It lasts a few days. I think if we keep doing it that it will last longer, but it works so well.
