I have the entire line of colors and store them with the lids tightly closed in my train case with the caps not the colors showing. I do this because in case my kit Is ever exposed to sunlight or heat they won't melt onto the cap. I have had them for a while and their all still in great condition. And look out for the new limited edition shades! These shadows are great alternatives to makeup forevers aqua creams :) hope this helped :)

I store mine upside down in my vanity with the lids tightly closed but that is mostly so I can see and pick colors clearly. When they are in my kit I store them with lids facing up for the same reason Vincent does. I haven't noticed them drying out either way so I think as long as you keep the lid closed well they will stay in pretty good shape. The only shade of mine that dried out was the Taupe shade. With some of my other products like this if I notice that they are starting to dry out I spritz the lid with water and put it back on. Not the product the lid.
