I usually wear black liquid eyeliner. But I've bought two gel eyeliners, based on reviews, they're great, but for me, no. They smudge horribly on my lower lash line.
Even though if I don't apply it on the lower lash line, it always end up smudging... Any help?
I've tried MAC Fluidline, Maybelline Gel Eyeliner and Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner, all of them smudges.
Any help?

I haven't used gel liners but I use Clinique cream liner and have never had any smudging. It's takes longer to dry on your lid than gel liners but once it's set I don't get any problems. Maybe try a lock and seal solution over the top to set it properly.

Don't buy anymore eyeliner and get a primer. It prevents any make up on the lower lash line from smudging everywhere. After applying primer put on your eyeliner as normal and buff over it with powder.

I make sure my brush is nice and stiff and I wipe off any excess on the jar. its easy to get too much on your brush and make a mess. a little goes a long way! oh, I use my own brush the ones they give you are crap! I use eyeshadow on my waterline then close my eye and pull at the corner to get it on the lash line. swipe some nude shadow underneath it to keep it from smudging. :)))))

@Trinh I used primer already actually, I use urban decay's.
@laura that nude eyeshadow trick sounds cool :D
@Hazel I was thinking of the same idea too, so the shadow color matches the liner color?

Buy 'sleek' gel liner. That stuff is bullet proof

Try using a shadow insurance/ eye primer. I had this problem aswell but I used too faced shadow insurance and its works perfectly.

Dab a Q-tip along your waterline to get rid of any moisture before you apply the liner. Set it with a black eyeshadow and a little bit of powder. Also, go for the waterproof versions.

I recommend not using them for the lower lash. Usually they give off a smoky look. I recommend just prime the lid then eyeshadow to set it then apply the gel liner. On the bottom just use a pencil liner.
