I've dyed my hair black for about two years. I'm over it now, how can I get rid of it? I've tried letting my hair grow out but it takes too long to grow! I've also considered bleaching it but I want my hair to stay as healthy as possible..

Ooh girl trust me there's no easy way or pretty much healthy way to get rid of black hair. I'm telling you from experience the only bleaching is problaby the only way to completely get rid of it but boyy is it damaging. I dyed my hair black for about 2 years too then I started getting tired of it but every salon I went to told me the same thing "the only way to get the black out is by bleaching" but it will leave your hair feeling damaged , dry and straw like. Even if you just use a "gentle" color remover not full on bleach like I did. I loved my new hair color but you could clearly tell the damage & all the split ends removing the color caused.

Ohhh dang! :/
I went to the salon too, and they told me to take it easy so I started with blonde highlights that I also bleached and my hair got a little damaged but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would turn out to be. However, when my roots were noticeable I dyed it black again, I totally regret it.

Yeah you can also start with highlights and gradually lighten it but thats if you like the highlighted look & up keep. You should have used a semi or demi-permanent black hair dye when your roots were too noticeable they only last from 10-26 shampoos I think. Anyways, your going to need a lot of patience to slowly start to lighten your hair if you don't want much damage.

Hmm I have the opposite problem. whenever I dye my hair black, the colour soon fades within a few weeks! it always turns back to the colour I dyed previously..

Color oops! It returns your hair to the way it was before dye!

Yeah I used permanent dye cause I was afraid it would fade to my previous color and didn't wanna keep dying it over and over.
I will try color oops, is that purchased at Sally's?

Yeah I thought so too but the demi-permanent hair dye has lasted me so far til I know what color I want to go with next. Give color oops a try tho , I tried Color Zapp instead because after reading some color oops reviews I wasn't sure if it would work on my jet black hair. It can be purchased at Sally's and Walmart I've seen it at too.
