Hi girls I'm just wondering do many of you have hair from your navel/bellybutton to your pubic area? I just read in a magazine that if you have this you most definitely have PCOS, as a beauty therapist I have waxed a lot of girls abdomens and they certainly didnt have PCOS??

Its a female endocrine disorder that causes an imbalance in hormones, so it could be a symptom of PCOS, but could also be genetic. I wouldnt go as far as saying if you have hair there then you definitely have it. Thats ridiculous to say in my opinion. Just from a medical perspective...

I know thats what I'm sayin, I know PCOS causes hirsutism and excess hair on the can be a sign of PCOS but not everyone that has excess hair has PCOS.

It could also be a sign of high testosterone. Which is easily fixed with diet, exercise and medication.

Also. You can't tell if someone has pcos haha you have to be diagnosed with it. It's not something you notice on someone ;)

A lot of girlshave thicker peachfuzz from the bellybutton to the pubic area. that doesn't mean every girl has PCOS xD
