My hair has been sooo flat lately, and I wanted to know if any of you girls had good tips for blow drying or brushing or whatever works.

I blow dry my hair upside down, it really helps. and then I take a flat iron and curl the roots of my hair back. Its a technique that takes a bit to perfect. But it work.

Take a shower before you go to bed, and put you're hair in a tight (ish) messy bun. When you wake up in the Morning take it out of the messy bun, and fluff it a little ;)

A teasing brush you can get one at Sally's beauty supply :) or when you blowdry your hair make sure the dryer is faceting up. those are some things we learned in beauty school

Blow drying my hair always helps but it leaves it looking dry and frizzy. clean hair is the worst to try and style or give volume. I wash my hair every 3 days and it has major body, just skip washing your hair in the shower and use a teasing comb. the natural oils you aren't stripping from your hair by washing it all the time holds your hair in place and your hair won't go flat.

Do a blowout. Use a large round brush and a concentrator nozzle on your dryer. Make sure you aim the air down the hair shaft in order to lay the cuticle flat and there will be no frizz! :) blowouts last longer, are better for your hair, and honestly give you that "just walked out of the salon" look. You might look like a retarded monkey that just discovered his hands at first but you WILL get the hang of it. I part my hair in 4 fairly large horizontal sections and then just down the middle in the back so I have half on both shoulders. And have at it!!

Definitely agree with Melanie's blow drying advice - works great for me otherwise when you go to bed with dry hair put it up in a high bun - like hold hair upside down and gather with a hair tie and have the bun as close to the top of your head as possible and don't tie it too tight and when you wake in the morning it should keep its volume that you got from blow drying and instead of straightning on days you don't wash just blow dry again that will also help.

Blow dry upside down and round brush the roots really far out and when you flip J.T. back over it will have a lot.of body so then just tease and spray.(:
