Yes but whatever you do don't put makeup I try to do that and it look so noticeable. And I few days or so I'll leave it to a scar then it will peel off and turn light pink but try putting lemon juice in a month you'll see it gone

Your welcome oh I forget three times a day for the best results and if you want a glowing skin put an egg white on your face it works great and to open up your pores boil hot water then put a towel in your head and let the hot air in you'd face it feels so clean afterwards

Emma let me just say. This will NOT scar as long as you follow the right steps!! Trust me. I have a disorder called dermatillomania which is a form of OCD and its chronic skin picking. Whenever I have "episodes" I pick at my skin so badly that my face is burning and peeling and bleeding. Like... My ENTIRE face. Please listen to the advice I have to offer to you because I can help you help your skin 100% and FAST! I will type up a post and it should be up shortly. And please do read! Because I have little to no scars on my face after years of chronic picking BECAUSE I did my research and I know the best approaches :)

And please please PLEASE do not use lemon on your skin! The acidity completely throws off the ph of your skin and makes it heal much much slower

First off, what ointment did you apply?

Apr 29, 2013

Emily T.

It was just a normal ointment that came in my first aid kid it's mainly petroleum jelly.

Don't mess with it, first off. At all. Don't put anything on it. At all. The skin on your face is different from the skin on the rest of your body. It bleeds more--don't pick at it. Second--cuts and scabs heal faster on your face than anywhere else. Leave. It. Alone. Don't irritate it more. It will only slow down the healing process. Btw I got this information from a firefighter who was a paramedic/EMT who had to deal with treating facial lacerations on a daily basis.

I went to school for aesthetics and I found the best way to take care of acneic skin is to use a gentle gel cleanser, preferably one with salicylic, sulfer, or benzoyl peroxide in it. definitely no exfoliants. also try to figure out if its stress acne, or hormonal. if its hormonal there are pills that can help. I would also suggest doing a face mask for acneic skin once or twice weekly. there are also chemical peels specifically for acneic skin. a good line for acneic skin is Murad, or anything a dermatologist can hwlp with.

I've had loads of burst spots like that and I've never had a scar:') I guess I must just be lucky.
