So I finally realized I have partially hooded eyes, after wondering why on earth most of the pretty eye shadow looks I see online just did not look right on me!
(it's only taken me until the age of 24 to figure that one out...!)
Do any of you ladies have any tips for girls with my eye shape?
If you have a hooded eye yourself, I'd love to see picture of how you can work an awesome eye shadow look, too!
I hope you're all having a wonderful week :) x

Thank you so much, ladies! I follow so many beauty gurus on youtube but I get frustrated because all their looks just don't suit me. I love wayne goss, and I'm very happy to hear of a youtuber with hooded eyes! <3.

I have partially hooded lids as well! I recently started tightlining which I find has made a huge difference but not only that, leaves for much more space to actually apply and create looks with eye shadow.

I use matte eyeshadows (love my UD naked basics) since shimmer can make the hooded part more prominent. I add my crease color above my natural crease since you can't see it when I open my eyes lol.

@Alexa, do you have the first UD Palette?

My eyes are hooded also. I find that if I do my eyeshadow with my eyes open looking at the mirror it helps me draw the socket.
My favorite tutorials for hooded eyes are by Lisa Eldridge. Not sure if I spelled her name right. But she's really helpful

@ Susan D. - no just the Basics palette. I don't use too much shimmer so I never really looked at the other Naked palettes.
@ Anna T. - I do the same. Had to get used to doing my eyes with them open but it helps so much.

Loads of youtube videos on this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5A-LG920hQ
My advice is keep shadow to the outer corners and blend in really well. Used it for my tutorial on a model who had hooded eyes:
