Mascara, right way to apply it??

Now that I'm more into makeup and beauty, I'm just wondering what would be the right way to apply the Mascara. Down-up ⬆or side to side ⬅➡... I usually do it down/up but I have seen people doing it the other way. Opinion and suggestion girls!

Left to right will make them thicker. Going up will lengthen. I do both. Left to right first and up last to get rid of clumps

Different methods will give different effects if you twirl the brush as you go up it helps curl more if you wiggle the brush from side to side on your way up provides more volume and if you use the tip it provides definition

I do as many movements as I could think of haha! But I don't have to worry about that anymore since I got eyelash extensions
