Ok beauty's; I've tried searching for a topic regarding this with no luck. Anywhooo, have any of you tried African black soap to cleanse your face? If so, what was your experience?
I am in my early 30's with oily skin and prone to acne (especially hormonal acne) and I've read that African black soap is a great way to help with that. I just ordered some off amazon from Halaeveryday (since I've read they're a company that actually sells the real deal).
I swear by milk of magnesia to control my oily skin, but lets be honest, that can only do so much. Do any of you pretty gals have any other words of wisdom?

It did nothing for me. I found it drying. But your skin may be totally different from mine.

I've read that it can be drying. Right now I'm using neutrogena oil free moisturizer; which I'm not married to. If anyone has any suggestions on a good oil free moisturizer also!

I have oily skin and I use it daily. I love it and have noticed less breakouts since using it. Milk of magnesia ruins the acid mantle of your skin. If my skin begins to get oily throughout the day, I use an anti-shine primer.

I don't have oily skin but hVe been kind of greasy this summer, I got it for my DH but I've been using it on my face and really like it. It smells so good.

I gt my shipping my confirmation last night so I'm getting a bit excited :-) at the least, if it doesn't help, I can say I've tried it. Latoya and Bree: does your skin get worse before it gets better like I've read?

I use it and my skin loves it. I traveled up north recently and after not using it for a few days my skin actually rebelled and I was forced to buy a bar from a health food store while on my trip. Stuff definitely helps keep my skin balanced and it great for shaving (can't use those typical shaving creams because they dry my skin out).
