So when I smile or laugh I get these lines around my mouth that seem to crack my foundation just on the line. You have tried many different techniques of powdering and even used a primer but they still appear an hour after I've applied my make up!!.. Please help!! X thanks guys x

Do you have dry skin? Or maybe it's the foundation itself that cracks...?

I have combination skin. I have been using this foundation for a long time now it's the Estée Lauder mixed with a bit of mac studio liquid foundation. But it's only recently started cracking

Me too! I hate it. I started noticing it as well with the same foundation I have always used and loved. So annoying

Maybe try a powder foundation (if you don't need full coverage)?

I have this problem!! you should try a primer before you apply anything.. then use mineral powder foundation!

Generally, powders tend to do that because its like chalk lol or maybe you have dry skin. Do you use a moisture primer because most primers are to set the makeup, havin a drying effect so dry on dry is not good. Have you tried using a spray over the it to give your face a little moisture??

Have you tried MAC fix+? I heard its good for these kind of things where you can spray it on your makeup and then applying it. Ever tried switching to foundation? Or cream instead of a powder?

I have the same problem. Try using milk of magnesia for a primer. Also, try not to put as much foundation on those lines and use less powder there as well.

A short while after completing your make up you will see the cracks appear, just give them a soft rub with your ring finger and blend outwards and they shouldn't reappear later. It works for me. Try it and see xxx

Thanks guys. I use smash box foundation primer and I need full coverage because I have acne marks to cover so I set my make up with studio fix powder by mac. I set my make up with fix + sometimes but not always. If I rub the lines I just end up with two dark lines on the sides of my mouth :(
