I need help I was wondering if I could thin my hair to make it less greasy. my hair naturally has a ton of oils due to genetics. I'm thinking about thinning my hair rather than just getting a whole new style. my question is not will it fix the problem but will it seem less obvious thinned out? please let me know! thanks.

Actually I think that might make it look worst. Have you tried dry shampoo?

I have pretty thin hair and it still gets really oily. I just use dry shampoo to tame it.

Saw this somewhere else on here but don't put conditioner on your roots! Just on the ends! I tried it and it's really helped a lot with my oily hair! But as for the thinning out, I doubt it. I have really thin hair and as I stated it gets pretty oily!:)

Don't thin, it will only look worse, if it's genetic thenvit is something you are going to have work with (: try a dry shampoo, or if you use a lot of products (or the wrong products) it could be build up on your hair making it behave this way

No no no!! Do not thin it out!! It's going to get oily faster and it's more noticeable when your hair is thin. My hair is extra thin cause it falls out a lot and I have to wash my hair more cause I hate that greasy look. Use less conditioner

I have super oily hair too but it's better than when I was younger. I don't think you should thin it either. Have you tried using nuetrogena t/gel shampoo? I know it is for dandruff but it gets all the oiliness out of my hair, I even have to use a conditioner after I use it and I never use conditioner bc my hair will get greasier than it was before I washed it if I do!

My hair used to get oily fast during the day when I was younger, so I stopped using conditioner at my roots and only at the ends. That's really the only part of your hair that needs it.

I have very fine hair and it gets greasy SO easy! If you have thick hair, you're lucky!
