I want to dye my hair ginger, I have natural brown hair but the ends of it are dyed a similar colour due to dye been grown out. Would the dye cover the hair evenly with the treated hair? Is henna the best way to dye the hair without using bleach? What is the best product to use? I live in the UK.

DO NOT use henna on your hair. It is impossible to get out with bleach without turning green or other funky colors. And it is really damaging in the long run. My friend used it in her hair two years ago because she wanted to go a 'safer route' and she couldn't find any stylists that would touch her hair unless they colored it darker, because the results are unpredictable. So unless you want to color your hair with henna for the rest of your life, don't use it.

Henna color actually has metallic particles in it and therefore you cannot dye over it with regular color because it will have a chemical reaction and actually burn your hair off... So it's fine to use but of you want to change it you either have to grow it out or cut it off! And you can't go lighter with henna only darker :( but there are lots of other options out there in the hair color world that are ammonia free and healthier for your hair. I would definitely not recommend henna...
