I know it's obvious on how to do it but mine never turns out right - the hair flips everywhere and looks terrible. Help please.

I usually do this when my hairs wet- flip your hair over and apply mousse or gel to it, and use a towel, NOT your hands, to scrunch it

First get your hair damp but not dripping wet many people make this mistake and it turns out to wet to style then get mouse and put a little in your hand I usually use 2 hand fulls then scrunch hair after that stand up and put some gel in your hair but don't apply it neatly its important to toss it around and there you go it's a quick and easy to do some people blow dry there's I just leave mine to dry hope this was usefull :)

I agree with Christa! Scrunching your hair with a towel works so much better than your hands.

I use a diffuser after applying a product to my hair. The diffuser softens the scrunch and helps set the "curls"
