My hair is similar and I regret having it straightened. check YouTube and I bet you will find an easy up do for curly hair. one I recently saw in a magazine was so cute and simple...grab your hair to one side and start twisting from the bottom towards the opposite up, then pin and secure. lemme find a pic.

Half up half down would look really pretty! Just use a cute clip and use a curling iron to touch up your natural curls. Have fun!

Something like this is what I was referring to earlier. I wouls gather it a bit tighter from right side (our left) to clean it up and then put a nice clip on gathered side.
