Ok so I naturally have really curly afro hair but I have relaxed (actually rebonded) it because it won't stay straight from just blowdrying it in this humid climate (I live in Sri Lanka) it has become very thin and wirey at the ends and very dry my roots have grown out over about 6 months so I'm due for another one now. My hairdresser says my ends are dead so he wants to chop them off so now I'm in two minds I could chop it off and get my roots done again or I was thinking of maybe getting a curly perm so it looks more like my natural hair but more controlled I'm hoping but is it safe to do a curly perm over a straight perm. I'd appreciate any help asap thanks. :)

Thank you Lauren I was afraid that might be the case so I'm going to cut it anyway but my roots are awful I can't cut all the straight or I'll end up with curly roots and straight ends and thats never a good look so I have no choice but to rebond the roots :(

I would cut the dead ends off and get a conditioning treatment done.
