Hey babes! So I read a whole bunch of reviews and feedback from you guys about the Clarisonic and it convinced me to get it.
And I finally got my hands on it last week as a birthday present to myself. :) Got the Mia 2 and have been using it twice a day ( morning and night) with the recommended sensitive brush and Estée Lauder foaming cleanser.

The only problem is I don't feel much of a difference in my skin texture. As in the pores are still pretty much the same size and the acne scars have not really lightened. Granted my skin definitely feels clean and fresh but no other differences seen. I haven't broken out from it either.

Any opinions as to how to get the best results? Could it be that I'm using the wrong brush or cleanser? Or am I just being too impatient. :P Thanks for your thoughts!

Hi there! Nice to meet you. New to this app. I have had the clarisonic for several years. The clarisonic won't lighten up acne scars. Lemon juice, freshly squeezed will do it but it takes a long time. I got this stuff, can't remember the name, that helps lightening of scars. Starts with an h. It's from the Image line. The purpose of the clarisonic is to cleanse deeper into the skin with the cleanser and decrease the amount of breakouts. I wouldn't use the clarisonic as your exfoliation method. What works for me is grinding up baby aspirin with a few drops of water to make a paste then rub on wet skin. It is a good zit killer if you leave it on your pimple morning and night. Great exfoliation. Also, sugar can be used to exfoliate. Smoothness of skin doesn't result from moisturizer. Does this help?

I got mine in November and for months I felt the same way. it took some trial and error (the deep pore cleansing one was terrible on my skin) but now I know how to make it work for me and I love it. I switched to the acne brush, went from twice a day to night use only, and changed my cleanser. it may take some time before you notice any changes :)

Thanks for the tips KP. I used to exfoliate regularly, maybe twice a week with the St Ives Apricot Scrub so maybe I'm that's why I'm not really seeing a vast difference. I assumed that the pores would decrease in size though with the deep cleansing action but they seem the same. Am still going to use it though, will wait on it and try it with the normal brush as well.

Thanks! I'm going to try out the Aspirin mask. :)

Thanks Alexa. Yea I figured I might to tweak the routine a lil with different brushes and cleansers to see what works best. Good to know I'm not alone! Lol. I was wondering how in the world I ended up being the only one who wasn't blown away by it on the first use. ;P.

You're welcome Hanna. The serum for acne scars by Image is the Total Whitenibg Serum. It helps with hyper pigmentation and acne scars. No matter what people say about shrinking pores, I don't find mine getting smaller at all. Have you tried replacing the brushes on the clarisonic? I feel that my skin is smooth after I do it but it doesn't exfoliate as well as the aspirin or sugar mask. I'm sensitive to fragrances so I had to start finding recipes for at-home facials to do what I needed. :)

I noticed when I used a cleanser with exfoliating stuff floating in the cleanser, murad has one on their anti aging line, that my face was completely dried out! Not good for the skin. I got on this cleanser that is organic and it balances the ph, all I can say is wow! For oily skin, I'm not getting as greasy during the day.
