Depends on what your level is now, color doesn't lift color and you have to know the rules to break the rules. Your best bet is to decolorize and that will give you a light brown look, you also have the option of a color extract. Hope that helped.

You definetly need to decolorize an most likely tone, depending if your eumelanin or phenomelanin. Don't mess with box color it won't lift your hair. All standard box color is 20 vol developer. Go to a professional you will have tones in there you will not like!!

Natalie is right. NO box color will lift your hair. Considering your hair is so dark right now, this will be a 2 if not 3 step process. Get it professionally done.

You'll need to bleach it first
