I like filled in, but you should use a lighter shade and try not to fill in the thicker part. Just use the color to define the tail of your brows.

I think filling them in looks nice! You just need to practice being less harsh. Draw in your brows like you're drawing in hairs not like you're coloring them in.when they get close to your nose is where you should use the least product and fade out with lighter shadow!
