I got a deluxe sample of this recently and it keeps my eye shadow on very well... BUT! I find it extremely drying (not only in feeling but when I look at the outer corner of my eye lid it looks dry). Plus I tried this under my eye to see if it would help concealer and it was a no go. Sort of disappointed since its such a popular primer.. any experiences with this primer?

Yes, make sure to moisturizer a lot at night. I personally like the ole henrikssen ones.

Hi RA I had the same problem with the primer.I do moisturize with eye cream night & day and tried a light thin layer but unfortunately it still was to drying.I switched to Too faced insurance and that has worked better for me.I have to say the UD is a great product but just wasn't for me.

Oh I'm so disappointed to here that this isnt all it's cracked up to be. I recently blogged this in my wishlist http://thepowderednose.blogspot.co.uk/ but maybe I need to avoid. Can anyone recommend a decent eye primer? X

I agree it can be a bit dry. It used to look white and cakey on the corner of my eyes if I extended it to far! It does have great staying power for eyeshadow though which is a plus! Too Faced shadow insurance is by far the best and feels a lot more gentle on my eyelids.

My favorite primer is stay don't stray by benefit!

I personally love this primer, but I know it's not for everyone. I second Caitlin's recommendation: Stay Don't Stray by Benefit is also really great!

I can't say I've ever had that problem before. But I moisturize my face every night and morning before I put it on so that could be why. If that doesn't work well for you give Tarte's primer a try, it's good as well

I personally cannot stand this primer. It makes my eyeshadows crease. I love Lorac Behind the Scenes primer and the Wet n Wild one.

Lorac has an amazing eye primer you might also like Laura mercier or kat Von dee just watch how much you apply with kats brand less is more for her.

I don't love it. I prefer M.A.C paint pots in painterly, technically a base not a primer but better performance IMO.

My skin is super oily, so UD worked far better for me than Too Faced. Depends on your skin type, I think.

The UD is my go to Eyelid Primer. But one that my daughter uses bc she has sensitive skin is the E.L.F. Eyelid Primer. She loves it and it doesn't dry her skin out. And the best part, it's only $1!

Thank you! so helpful.. think I'll try experimenting a bit with how much I moisturize and how much I apply.. if it doesn't work I guess I'll be trying one of the primers suggested thanks.

I cannot stand this eyelid primer. I don't remember if I had the dry problems that you are describing, but I did have major creasing every time I used the UDPP. I tried a few more until I found my HG primers. They are Lorac Behind the Scenes and Wet n Wild Take on the Day (Fergie line).
