I can't see it very well, but from what I see, it doesn't look bad to me... Not exactly smokey... But it doesn't look bad. To make it actually a smokey eye, I would maybe add some darker shades around the outside but make sure you blend super well!! :)

Okay I can see the picture good and it doesn't look like a smokey eye. What you have to do is add a darker color to the outer part of your eye ( in a V shape) to complete your look. You also want to make sure you blend. Blend til you can't blend anymore.

You should get the Urban Decay Smokey Eye book. It is great for beginners and gives you several different ways to do it and is great about describing the directions.
It doesn't look bad, could use some work in a few areas, for instance you should do a smudgy eyeliner and then if you want give it a more defined eyeliner over it with liquid/gel. I think that most people probably just can't see it well if they are using the app and it isn't the best picture for it.

ALso, don't make the edges so harsh, blend them out, it is suppose to be smokey.

You did a great job for a first attempt! :) I would suggest blending out the edges a bit more with a big, fluffy brush and adding some more dimension in the outer v of your eyes by using a chocolatey brown and a touch of black. :) Just remember that practice makes perfect, and you can always do little things to tweak it to make it your own! :)

Great first try! think of a smokey eye as movement rather than color. you want the darkest on the dome and lighter shade in the crease. Add a dark accent on the outer V and a light on the inner V. Blend, Blend, blend.

You can also do a smokey eye by having the lightest color near your tear duct, medium in the middle, darkest at the outer V, an accent can be added as well.
