I get those when I come in contact with chemicals I am allergic to. For me it usually turns into hives if I don't put anything on it/take medicine. Have you eaten any new foods or taken new medicines/supplements? Even something you've been taking for a while or eaten before can turn into an allergy. :/ See a doctor if you can, they can do a test and figure out what you are allergic to so you can avoid it.

It is probably pityriasis rosea. Google it. I would go see a doctor and ask for steroid cream. It should clear up within a week or 2. Also ice it a few times a day to take away the redness. Other than that, for most skin irritations you can't do anything to help them and don't put anything on them, it will only aggravate it. You want to keep it clean, cool, and try not to put clothes over top of it, or wear breathable clothing.

Did you carry heavy things on your arms? It did happen to me when I carry heavy things on my elbow area.

It might be keratosis pillarsis, something you can treat with special creams from a dermatologist.
