I've used it on my arms and legs but I've never tried it on my face other than my lips. It's a great ointment but if you decide to use it on your face, use just a small amount and try it on one small area first to see how you will react to it. :)

My skin looked great the morning after I put it on but then I broke out:(

If you put a thin layer on, your face shouldn't break out. I've put it on the sides of my nose before when they were really dry and I didn't break out.

Dermatologist recommend it. I've tried it as my derm suggested it but it was wayyy too heavy for my face/skin.
@Mic S. did your artist suggest you put that? Usually they suggest a&d ointment for fast healing. It didnt mess up your ink did it?

Hi Medora,
It is a bit heavy for the face. If you have a particular rough or chapped part of your skin you might be safe with using it just in that area as a spot treatment but it's really meant for dry, chapped knees and elbows or like Mic said, the healing of tattoos.
Hope that helps!

I've used aquaphor for every single tattoo I've got in the last 5 years and it heals them in half the time and I don't seem to ever need touch ups either. Love this stuff. Idk about using it on your face but I don't really see it being very harmful. It's a great product for healing all sorts of stuff.

I'm guessing maybe the ppl who broke out from it may have had some adverse reaction to it bc I have convinced so many ppl to use it for tattoos and everyone seemed to have good results, and super fast healing. I hate a&d.

I've had a similar experience to Mic. I've used it on most of my tattoos and on a couple of them it made me break out like crazy and others were fine. I wouldn't chance it.

It's such a life saver for those dry areas. Its also waterproof, I think. But yea you can see it being much too heavy in place of a facial moisturizer. I use it on the sides of my nose like a former gal mentioned. My favorite use is for lips.

I use this on my daughters eczema and it really helps to keep it moisturized. but I don't know about using it for anything other than eczema.

Nooooo! That's for like scabs, scars, tattoos... Etc. if you have scabs on your face from picking acne & need to get rid if them or mousturize them, use aloe.
