My mom makes hair oil at home.the base is coconut oil.In it she puts aloevera, hibiscus flowers, amla, neem leaves.she soaks all these for 8 days in the oil and then later boils the oil for 10-15mins and later strains it! using this oil has improved my quality of hair and reduced split ends!

I had the same problem after bleaching my entire head from black. Some things / products I found really helpful:

- Not washing my hair as often (about once or twice a week). It really helped restore the natural oils.
- Coconut oil and jojoba oil! Just saturate your hair with either one, wrap it up in a towel, and leave it on for a few hours or even overnight.
- One n Only Argan Oil Restorative Mask.
- Crack Hair Fix did WONDERS in making my hair feel smooth and stop most of the breakage.
- Don't brush your hair while it's wet.
- Try not to heat style it much. If it looks too damaged to just leave naturally, try wearing it up more, which is what I did for a while. If you want to heat style it, make sure you use a really good hair primer or thermal protector!
- Lush R&B hair treatment. You can use it on towel dried hair, or on completely dried hair and it kind of doubles as a styling product.

Your hair sounds like it has too much keratin and not enough moisture. That's the protein in your hair and adding more protein in (such as using a keratin product) will push more moisture out. And moisture is what you're missing. I would not wash it as much and use a dry shampoo for days when it looks dirty. I would also find a shampoo/conditioner with moisture in it. A deep conditioning mask at least once a week will really help too!
Heat styling is a no no without fully protecting that hair with a product. But definitely stay away from keratin your describing it seems a bit over proteinized.
