If you have a build up from using shampoo and conditioner daily, use vinegar! Vinegar? Yep! So you take about 2 cups of warm water and 2 cups of white vinegar and mix them. I use it once a week from all of the build up in my hair. It works so well! Make sure you don't get it in your eyes though, it will hurt! Do this once a week and your hair will still be smooth! First I get in the shower, I rinse my hair, then I put the diluted vinegar in my hair and rinse it thoroughly, then I just use my daily hair products. It really is a life saver. The day after you do it your hair might have a strong, weird smell if you don't rinse out the vinegar enough. It still might have a light scent of vinegar if you rinse good but its not that bad. Hope I helped. You can leave comments down below if it helped or you can comment on my page. Xoxo.

Build up is the shiny or darker hair at your roots.

A clarifying shampoo is much safer to use. They have a very alkaline pH so they can get rid of all the product (waxes and such), the mineral buildup and chlorine. You shouldn't use it a lot. Only when that buildup occurs. However that's what they're there for.
