When you wash, it really helps to thoroughly scrub at your scalp because the dandruff is also partly dried shampoo.

A natural way to get rid of it is natural organic coconut oil. Get 3 tbsps of organic coconut oil and melt it in the microwave for 5 seconds. Massage it into your scalp and all over your hair! Let is sit for 25 minutes. Wash your hair out with shampoo and conditioner. Do this once a month or weekly. Good luck.

Hey! I have the same problem as you, though it has become less evident. I used a bunch of things, so here's what I've learned! Head and Shoulders shampoo, though claiming to fight dandruff, doesn't fight dandruff. That's just my opinion. Also, Tea-tree oil and Tea-tree shampoo work really well. I mean REALLY well. You can tell it's working because even in the shower after you use it your scalp feels tingly like things are healing, it's great. Also, I have used Rosemary water. Just boil some water and add rosemary leaves to it, boil with leaves in it for a couple of minutes, then let it cool. Afterwards, strain the leaves from the water and place the water in a squeeze bottle, or something similar. Keep it by your shower and after you shampoo, AT THE END OF YOUR ENTIRE SHOWER, pour some of the water on your scalp. This is meant to stay in your hair and dry with your hair, it works well. I used this with the Tea-tree shampoo because I was desperate and it worked really well. Last thing, is VO5 hair conditioning hot oil. You can get this at Loblaws or any local supermarket. It basically comes in a pack of thee small tubes, filled with the oil. Place a tube in a cup of hot water from the tap and let it sit for about 1 minute. BEFORE YOU SHAMPOO OR DO ANYTHING, get in the shower, dampen your hair, open the tube, and squeeze the contents all over your scalp. Over all the problem areas that you have, had, or will have. Massage this into your scalp, not your hair. Leave it in for one minute, so about the time it takes for you to wash your body. Then rinse it out and shampoo/condition as normal. Don't use this every time you shower, just do one treatment a week. You'll see improvements, I promise. Sorry for the long reply but I have had so much trouble with dandruff and dry scalp in the past and currently, so if I can try to help someone I jump at the chance:)

Tea tree shampoo works well! Just make sure you use a great deep conditioner, the tea tree is great for scalp, but can dry out your ends. I use the tea tree shampoo with an argon oil moisture conditioner, works perfectly for me :)
