I have oily and dry skin and it's terrible! My skin is dry so I have to use face lotion and then that makes my skin really oily. By the end of the day my makeup and face look and feel gross, how can I control the oil to keep my face looking its best? Help!!? 😖

I had the same problem as you and went to see a dermatologist. Her first advice was : Do not use cream for oily or dry skin! Using cream for oily skin will make your skin dryer and your body will fight against it by producing more sebum and make your skin even oilier! So just use a basic moisturizing cream for normal skin.
My skin care routine twice a day : cleanser, Eau précieuse, serum, moisturizer

Sounds like you have combination skin, I do too. My T-Zone is super oily and my cheeks are really dry. To solve this you need to stay away from products with oil in them. Even when you use oily products on dry skin it will just make your face oily. I use the clean and clear dual action moisturizer and the aveeno moisturizer. They work really well. You also might want to consider using a toner after washing your face. This gets rid of any extra oils and is supposed to even out your skin tone. You also want to wash your face twice a day, not any more than 3 times or you can dry out your skin by stripping it of too much natural oils. And as for makeup, using a powder (especially in you T-Zone or oily spots) is great for oily skin because it absorbs the oil and sets your makeup. Try using one with a matte finish. I hoped this helped

I'm going to link you a post I made for how to treat oily/acne prone skin. It worked amazingly for me and now my skin is acne free and perfectly balanced and fresh. It lists inexpensive products/prices, how and when to use the products, and why this is happening to your skin and why this routine should work for you. I hope my post helps, because I feel super confident in my skin now. :D
