What Is Your Secret For Beautiful Nails?

I had short nails all my life. I am an on/off again nail biter, I work with plants at a garden center, and they are brittle when they get longer..

There isn't a point for me to get a manicure, but I do paint my nails to "hide the dirt" underneath my finger nails so I my hands are somewhat presentable when I deal with customers.

I got to be honest, I WISH I can get a manicure and do cute things with my nails and follow the trends. I admire all the photos that I see with the nail art and I wish I can do that too.

My questions are: what are good tips to help me not bite my nails? How can I have beautiful nails because they are short? What can I do with my nails because I'm getting so bored with the crackle, I'm really digging the "feather nail-polish" and I do want to try nail art one day :/

One word; Milk. You might think I sound crazy but trust me its true. When you drink one glass of milk per day you will see results of healthy looking strong nails. They brittle as much as they would now. Just try it. (Thumbs up) :)

@pam so happy to hear someone with the same issue as me! If I keep my thumb and index finger longer, I can "clean" my stock very fast and efficient - but then it looks weird if everything is short lol.

@miimii now what percentage of fat is in the milk? Because I drink either 2% or skim milk

Try using a clear polish that aids brittle nails. Sally hanson ones have good reviews although I havent used them. Keep your nails in nice shape and file and buff them. You may be able to get treatments for this at a salon so go see. Good luck.

Short nails are beautiful! A lot of designs look better on shorties, I think.
