Which shade is better? Dark or Lighter brown?

Okay so, I've wanted to die my hair a browner shade. But I don't know if I'll look good with it. So here's me with my natural hair color. it is a dark brown, in the sun it looks a little bit red though. I don't know if it will match my eyes and it may not make me look pretty? I don't know. Please help!

Dark brown looks better, but uf you want to go lighter I would just get subtle highlights, but I think dark brown suits you.
