Will the sun clear up acne? My family keeps telling me I need to get out in the sun and that it will clear up my acne but I've been avoiding the sun as much as possibly because I know it isn't healthy for skin.. Opinions?

Sun actually cause acne to flare up more. Don't use the sun to cure your acne, if you're outside use SPF cream and foundation and try washing your face with a product that contains sililic acid.

Sun is good for drying out the actual spots but it isn't great for the healing and may cause more scarring

Actually the sun is the number one cause of aging. It damages the skin and creates sun spots like freckles. I would recommend a salicylic acid treatment.

The sun clears up my acne but I always put sunscreen on if I'm going to the pool or going to be outside for a long time.

I had really bad acne scars a few years ago after I had gotten my acne cleared up pretty good. After a summer of lots of sun they were completely gone! So it helped my scars. I don't think it's going to clear up your acne though..

Sun does help, just don't burn yourself
