I have done my own micro loop extension's on a number of occasions. its expensive if you get them done professionally. but I taught myself how to do it by watching videos on YouTube. I bought the hair pliers and micro loop extension's from ebay. they are good. they can last from 1-3 months. depending how well you look after them. they can get a bit itchy after a while but they are worth I if you want them in all the time and on a more permanent basis. if you need any more help feel free to ask. xx

I posted this same thing a few weeks ago! I've found a great website where the lady sells everything you need to do them, tutorials on how to put them in yourself, and really quality gorgeous hair- with a great color selection. Her website is: http://www.yourhairshop.com/
I've been doing my research about them, and really wanted to get an inside look and talk to someone who has them in, I just wonder if they are comfortable or not? They really seem worth the price (from $100-250) and they last up to six months and you can reuse the hair another 6 months if you take care of it! I do know that for good quality hair you should only be using 100% remy human hair (that's where all the cuticles face the same direction and there isn't any breakage/synthetic hair), and also depending on your hair and what you want you should do as many bundles (around 6) for good thick natural looking hair- if the hair is too fine you'll be able to tell that they're extensions. I found the website from a girl on youtube who shows what she uses & buys (from the website) and how she applies her itip or microloop extensions. Here's one of her videos she answers a lot of questions & you can look at her video of her applying them into her own hair herself, she really helped me!! Here's the link for that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuvMc02NFqY
Also here's the yourhairshop.com youtube's channel and they have a lot of videos that will help you too! http://www.youtube.com/user/YourHairShop
My biggest questions are how comfortable they are, how you would color your hair in the meantime, and getting my hair color matched (since I'm blonder than my pictures, and it's all online it'll probably be hard to match...but I do know they do color matching on the website).
I'm really excited though to do them myself and to have finally found extensions that are more permanent than clip ins, and won't damage my hair!!

Make sure you blow dry your hair every time because sometimes the metal beads can rust if they stay wet.

@Amanda Nicole that's awesome information, thanks for posting that!
I use clip ins everyday and never considered microloop extensions because I like to do everything myself, so now I definitely want to research more!

Natalie, thanks!! I was completely floored that I didn't know how easy these were to put in yourself, and how long they would really last... even going to school for hair- I feel like I was the last person to know about I tip/microloop extensions hahaha but yeah those websites will seriously help a lot, like tiffany said I completely learned how to instal a full head of them myself from youtube and it looks easy enough that it will only take a few hours and could save you up to $500 from going to a salon!
