Hair Dye Help!

Ok so right now I have black hair but when I'm in college (September) I want to dye my hair a pastel pink. Obviously I would strip my hair so it would go back brown but how much blonde hair dye should I get before I can dye it pink? I have quite long hair. It took 1 1/2 bottles of hair dye to get it black so I'm guessing I would need more blonde because it's a more drastic change? Help!

I would say just bleach it but after stripping it that might be too harsh. Your best bet is to go to a salon and get it bleached because if you have any red in your hair Blonde dye will make it orangey/yellow. But if you aren't into that just strip your hair and get a box or two of pink splat which is available at the drugstore and comes with peroxide and it will turn it pink!
