I recommend a few life saving products. First off, get the Aztec indian healing clay mask, and ALWAYS use it with apple cider vinegar. It really saved my skin. And second, get the "Dark Angels" face ash from lush. These products combined do wonders for my skin.

What's your current skincare routine and what products are you using?

Currently I'm just washing my face with a gentle cleanser from skin solutions and I'm taking the last of my antibiotic and typical cream "soolantra". I'm not using many products on my face at the moment bc it just gets irritated with what I try...
but I read something online that said taking iodine pills/topical can help for acne??

I would speak with a doctor before taking any kinds of pills or OTC medication.

I would look into oil cleansing. Sometimes it can draw oil out.
You should also be moisturizing. Oily skin is often very very dry skin that's oily to try to moisturize itself
I would also go to the dermatologist again. Sometimes things take a long time to work. I know some people that were on accutene for a total of two years because it didn't work the first time, but it took another couple tries

What are you looking to spend on skincare per item or total routine?

If you want to take any vitamin tablets, like Alexis said go to a doctor cause it may actually do more harm than good! I've had bad skin for around 5 years. What I have found helped and that I'm in a good skin routine now (if you want me to tell you I will😘) I use tea tree all the time! I have found it's so amazing for my skin and the exfoliater is also amazing, I use the exfoliater 3 times a week, and then I use normal face wash everyday. I also use a tea tree toner from the body shop, twice a day everyday, morning and night. For an actual spot treatment I use Mario Badescu drying lotion, some may disagree at using this, but it's one of the best products I've used for nasty spots!
