So I went from a light (bleached) blonde to a medium/dark brown today, and before I did the brown I filled the blonde hair with a red demi permanent dye to avoid green. That worked, BUT the red from the demi left a noticeable tint in my brown which isn't too bad, but I definitely don't want it. Basically, I don't want to lighten or darken my brown but I do want to remove the red and leave the undertone either neutral, or cool.
Should I use an ash toner? A gold toner? Some sort of shampoo? Something else? Or will the demi-permanent red fade away with washes?
Thank you!
