I think you would do just fine with a shoulder length hair cut, it wouldn't be to much to manage but you still have hair to play with. :D

I love the angled lob (long bob) posted. My advice is to go slow. Start by cutting a a few inches and see how you feel about it. Do it gradually. You can always cut more but you can't "un-cut".
