idk if that belongs in this thread exactly but didn't know where to put it.
I'm 19 and really want to be a makeup artist. I love makeup, since I was 17 I did most of my friends makeup for weddings and such, have done makeup for models for one local photography university (for free) and people always praise me for my makeup skills.
I know a lot of people say that going to a makeup school is a waste of money and that I should just network and start working/freelancing by myself, I still would like to get some experience from studying and learning from the pros. Learning about the business side of it would be a huge thing too.
I'm located in Europe and have 6 schools that I'm interested in, I have visited one but I'm not sure if I would like to go there, I have contacted some of the others to go visit them too and would like to before I decide.
The schools are:
MUD Studios (visited)
Berlin, Germany
http://www.mud-studio.de/
Delamar
London, UK
http://www.delamaracademy.co.uk
Fleurimon
Paris, France
http://www.fleurimon.fr/
MAAP
Paris, France
http://www.ecoledemaquillage.net/en/
London Makeup School
London, UK
https://www.thelondonmakeupschool.com/
House Of Glamdolls
London, UK
http://www.houseofglamdolls.com/courses/index.html
I would like to know if anyone had experience with any of those schools and what would they recommend. Especially people that are currently working as MUAs.
Any advice really would be helpful. Thank you ^-^

I don't know anything about the schools you are near because I'm in California but I went to cosmetology school and even though they focus on hair more than makeup I personally feel that it not only gives you more confidence in your artistic knowledge but having a certification really really helps when it comes to introducing yourself to places like agencies and events you want to work in. And going to a school connects you to professional makeup sites and makeup artist discounts so I highly reccomend school :)

In Scotland there's one called Mary Kay beauty school. (I think! It's defo called Mary something might not be Mary Kay tho) also do you have a college where you live? Over here at Edinburgh college there is a makeup artistry course you can do.
