Hi beauties
I'm going to be a guest at a wedding and I need to purchase a setting spray. I don't wear makeup on a daily bases, just for special occasions.
So for the question, does it matter what setting spray I use for the foundation of choice?? Is there a setting spray for different foundation bases or can I use just any setting spray?
My foundation is cover fx oil free

Any setting spray will do, but an alcohol free one will be less drying and vice versa. ben nye has a great one for cheap, Mufe has a good alcohol free one.

Any setting spray will work. My favorite is the Urban Decay All Nighter but if you have very oily skin the go for their De-Slick instead (:

I use Mario badescu hydrating facial spray before, during and to set my make up. And it smells like roses. (:

Loreal infallible has a wonderful setting spray, it really helps keep your makeup on... it's like hairspray for the face haha, but maybe if you have dry skin you wouldn't like that... you may prefer something more like Urban Decay all nighter like Alexis said.

The loreal one is three or 4 ingredients away from urban decays. and the chill, deslick, and original have the same ingredients but a few of them are in a different order of I remember right. the UD has an extra preservative, an extra fragrance, and one or two extra polymers/barrier creating ingredients but the rest is the same and almost in the same order. I have them written down somewhere from when I compared them a few months back. loreal owns urban decay so that's not a coincidence. I think they both do great for every day office job type wear, and I use them, but I wouldn't put them in the maximum hold category.

The Mac fix + is actually not a setting spray. it's meant to add hydration between steps and does a decent job of things bit it won't keep anything in place.
