Hiya Ladies,

As many of you have recommended that I use Vitamin C Serum for my acne scars. I have just purchased the Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum. And I was just asking how do you apply it and how often for best results?

Right after a toner (if you use one) and before and lotions, creams and oils.

Some people differ on their preferences.
For Mornings: Wash, Pat Dry, Tone, then using Vitamin C , then Hydration (such as another serum or light facial oil, if you use those), then Moisturizer, followed by SPF.

I would use it twice a day since the C percentage is so low, unless you're evening routine includes chemical exfoliation through AHA and BHA as it can irritate skin.

The Mario has a very low dose of Ascorbic (7.5%); that's an alarmingly low percentage of C for around $45. Timeless Skincare has non-irritating, 20% Vitamin C serum with E and Ferulic Acid to maintain a much more stable formulation and ingredients to benefit skin even further.. for only $25. (It's a dupe for Paula's Choice C.) With any promo code, you can get it for $20 and each batch is made freshly upon order. That would provide much better, quicker, results, at literally half the cost.
I store my Timeless in the fridge to extend product life.

Drunk Elephant's is an even nicer formulation which increases the effectiveness of the 15% C. You get a large bottle with an easy pump in airtight packaging to truly extend product life for $80 that is incredibly stable. This is the favorite, most effective C formulation I've ever used, after the one I get from my Derm.

Not trying to be unkind or take from your delight in any way; just looking out for you with some options you might want to consider perhaps in the future if you aren't happy the Mario C.

( In the PM, you can use an acne-friendly facial oil in place of a moisturizer, or after moisturizer for occlusion. You can also mix acne friendly facial oil with your moisturizer as a final PM step. )
The evening steps would be the same regarding C as the morning, minus SPF, if you aren't using any other chemical exfoliation or acne treatments.

I would not layer that C formulation with any acne treatments to avoid irritation beneath the skin which can bring on cell damage and potential for redness/burning; especially if you're sensitive.

Hope that is of use to you.  :)

Is it this Rozberry??

Yes. That's it! I didn't realize you were in the UK...lol I do think it's highly beneficial to use C every day as it cell communicative...it stimulates collagen for anti-aging and brightens skin, but I would only use it daily if your skin has no irritation. I am very sensitive so I tend to ease into things. If you're concerned, maybe start just using it in the morning....or perhaps every other day and see if your skin agrees with it and you can adjust usage from there. I own and use a 3 C formulations, but the Timeless I am never without; I keep it the fridge to help extend life. The added E and Ferulic Acid are not only highly beneficial to your skin, but help extend product life as well by working to keep the formulation stable.

I've never had a bottle turn on me and I do enjoy the results. Look for a promo code online to get the price down a few dollars...lol I hope it works out for you!  :)
