Dry af hands!

My hands are SO dry and sensitive at the moment. My usual handcreams (Garnier ultimate blends honey restore handcream and the Garnier intensive 7 days) aren't doing anything and are causing my hands to have a tingly/burn sensation, come out in white and red dots and feel even drier. Dry hands are typical of my jobs (a nursery nurse so always washing my hands/washing baby bottles/dishes, etc.and a gymnastics coach so surrounded by a dry environment because of the chalk and always using my hands) but I just would like a way of making them a little more comfortable and presentable. I'm not bothered about budget, if a handcream is amazing I will splash out. Online or in store, I don't mind, but bear in mind I am in England. Thanks in advance x

I'd normally recommend Alpha Skincare, which I swear by for my body, including hands and feet, but I don't believe you'd have access to that.

You should be able to find Gold Bond Ultimate "Eczema Relief Hand Cream", in the tube. It's incredibly soothing and emollient, while remaining inexpensive. You should be able to find it both at the drugstore/highstreet and online. It contains soothing oatmeal, plenty of lovely moisturizing ingredients such as jojoba and aloe....and has no irritants/fragrance. You don't need Eczema to love it...lol
(I keep a tube in my vehicle at all times.) It's about $10 in the states.

You would also benefit from getting a thin, cotton pair of spa gloves and sleeping in lotion with a little oil as well on them on at night. Hope you feel better soon.

I truly hope you have these two. My grandfather was a carpenter and he had the driest hands. Sawdust is similar to chalk and absorbs any moisture. He used these two creams. They're made for super dry cracked skin, so they really work when your hands aren't literally cracking from being dry. The only thing is they sting like a mf if you do have a cut lol. But it also has antibacterial oils in them so it's not going to hurt your cut.

And this one. I don't know which one he preferred, he always had them both everywhere. But they're both sweared by carpenters and machine shop workers with dry hands.

Try Lubriderm. It moisturizers without the greasy feel.

This may sound really stupid but try baby lotion. My skin has become a lot softer. Also putting some body oil on your hands after the lotion should help. I'm just making an assumption because I've never dealt with this before, but I feel confident it might work.

Bring your own soap to work, I know this sounds weird, but when I was in like 1st-2nd grade, my hands go so dry that they cracked and bled...from the soap and hand sanitizer. My mom made me bring my own soap (it was basically just castile soap in a little bottle) and I always had a really thick, natural healing cream in my backpack( the one that I used was from our nutritionist, so unfortunately I can't give you a link or anything..sorry...) but it made my hands so much more moisturized!...and then I was pulled out and homeschooled XD.
