Does anyone have any beauty related New Years resolutions?
I think my goal is to focus more on my skin care, because I think a flawless complexion is the first step to a flawless foundation routine.
My skin has gotten a lot worse since starting school (stress!!), but slowly getting better! I got the boscia exfoliating peel gel, and I would like to invest in a good every day moisturizer. Any suggestions? My skin is very dry.
I also just got my eyebrows microbladed and I hope to get lash extensions soon so I can go without makeup more to give my skin a break!

SPF everyday. I also recommend investing in a good chemical exfoliant. For dry skin not prone to breakouts glycolic and lactic acid are lovely.

Thanks! The foundation I use has spf in it, but I'll make sure to keep an eye out when purchasing a new moisturizer. Any particular brands or products for the exfoliant?

It's not good to rely on foundation for spf unless it's got a high rating and you are using full coverage everyday. You won't get the listed protection.
AHA exfoliant are easier to come by than BHA when it comes to good formulation; what's your price range?

The foundation I use is dermatologist recommended :) but I don't use it every day so I think it's important to use in a moisturizer.
I'd like to stick under 100, cheapest is best obviously but I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for, and skin care is an investment! :)

Oh I didn't mean to imply your foundation has a bad formula; it's just that SPF ratings are very highly regulated and are tested under the assumption that enough product is used to actually get the full possible benefit, and most foundations either lack the SPF rating or are simply not applied heavily enough because they would stop being aesthetically pleasing.
If your budget is a hundred bucks for a single product you have a pretty good list of options.
You have drugstore options like Alpha Skincare and Olay that make glycolic acid products.
A bit more expensive would be Paula's Choice
Out of his entire line, I think Peter Thomas Roth does best with his glycolic acid products; they tend to be a bit more advanced than drugstore options.
You can splurge a bit on something like Drunk Elephant's Framboos Glycolic Night Serum which is about 90$
If your primary goal is to just get a good exfoliant into your routine, drugstore options should be more than sufficient.
At any rate I think any skincare routine should have a cleanser, chemical exfoliant, and SPF/nighttime moisturizer or serum.

Use a face mask once a week at least (hopefully more!) Also a good moustiriser that has SPF in is the Simple Light Moustiriser. Hope this helps:) ♡

Thanks, Anna! I'll look into it, the Sephora app separates the moisturizers from the sun protecting products so that's good to know!

That's really cool, Lainee! I'd never know how to make a foaming cleanser!

It's just a cleanser that my mom found somewhere, and we put it in a foaming pump bottle ☺️

Yes, I do. I really need to work on spending less time doing my makeup each day...sometimes I get really carried away and end up spending over 2 hours applying my makeup for the day. My doctor said it's an OCD issue :-(.

I think my resolution is to have more fun with my makeup! I like a natural and simple makeup look usually but I want to try a bright or bold lip color more often, or do a bold eyeliner, to break out of the usual and maybe see myself in a more confident light.

My new years beauty resolution is to focuse on my skin and hit pan on eye shadow palettes and as finish as many products as I can, I just don't want to see my money go to waste.
