Hi. I have done tanning before (not the sun), like gone to a salon. Yes, bad mistake doing the bed, wasn't thinking much.
I wear shorts to cheer and games, and I don't like my pale legs, because of how they don't see sun much.
I'd like to know how to do my own at home, since I have only done a few bed and sprays. What products do you recommend? How would you use these products (like if its a lotion, how do you use it, etc.)? Would I put some on my face or just get a foundation that matches the color of the tan?

I have always used the st. tropez, and always liked it, never looked too orange etc.
My application process includes exfoliating to remove any and all dead skin, then I apply the self tanner (I use the mousse) all over, usually two coats but that's personal preference. Then I sleep in a onesie to avoid getting it all over my sheets, and apply lotion to my hands, knees and elbows as those tend to look the most fake. Rinse off in the morning, I never use body wash, just water but you can. Again, personal preference. Same goes to applying to the face. I've done it both ways, applying to my face when I know I won't be wearing too much face makeup so it matches without foundation.
I know there's a ton of YouTubers who do videos on their fake tan routines. I also think a lot of them have switched from st tropez to loving tan, but I have never tried that brand so I can't really speak for it.
Hope I helped :)

Jergen's makes a good gradual tan, you can get it at CVS/Target. I've used it with a normal body lotion before, than when applying Jergen.

Ulta sells the kardashian's self tanning spray for about $20, it's always lasted the longest for me (wouldn't even fade until after 3 or 4 showers) and it smells good which is tough to find w self tanners. My second favorite there is just the ulta brand of tanning mist which is only around $8. They have a lottttt more options just much more costly.
