Hey girl, I don't know if this could help you at all but I used to get bad acne on my shoulders and it would never go away, but I eventually stopped using regular washcloths and loofahs when washing my shoulders and upper back where the acne was, and instead I just used my hands or a soft baby washcloth with my soap and I think it reduced irritation and spreading of the acne. Maybe that would help in your case too? Hope you find relief from it.

Bar soap has a harsh PH and contains fillers and binding agents that can clog skin, switch to a creamy body wash. Aveeno's fragrance free body wash is a favorite staple for me.

Aside from the above advice, I'd be careful not to let any hair care products touch your skin. try to keep your hair up until it dries. I don't get body acne as severely on my chest but I get it bad on my arms and between a. watching my hair products b. not touching my arms/crossing them as much and c. not using anything scented like lotions or body sprays on my chest and arms I've managed to reduce flair ups quite a bit. a couple weeks ago I tried my sexapeel on my arms (I usually use it for my face and my feet) and it did a really good job of smoothing things out.

I used to have the same problem and I hated it as well. I used all kinds of washes and medications on my skin and even proactive. I will say the proactive did help, but only if you use it religiously. lol. I saw a dermatologist for it because I was so self conscious and I was prescribed a birth control pill and it cleared it all up. I don't know how old you are or if you are already on a birth control pill, but if not, it may be something to look into. That and the proactive. Also drink lots of water and a good diet also helps. Be sure to eat healthy fats instead of greasy foods (if you don't already) and that should help as well.

Panoxyl 10% is amazing for body acne. I find it harsh for the face but works great on chest and back!

Thank you ladies! I will definitely be doing things differently in my body care routine!
