I got my hair dyed maybe about three months ago. It is a red violet. And while I really like dit when it was first done, and I have been maintaining it, washing it every other or every second day and with color safe shampoo and conditioner, I'm not sure if I like it enough to re-die or do something different. What do you ladies think, any suggestions are appreciated!

I can totally relate. I still have red violet in my hair.. wash 1x every week, condition every other day. I have re-dyed it this color 3x.
I am thinking about doing another color (blue-black). I maintain colors until I can say to myself that I just don't care if my hair is this color anymore. So.. would you be happy with your hair if you touched up your dye? to make it more violet? If the answer is yes, I would maintain it for longer just based on the fact it would be more work to change the color. You're not too fond of it now because all the beautiful violet has washed out and you're left with red hair (like me!)
Maybe just look up some hair colors on Pinterest and see what you like?

Marie, thanks so much! I think you're absolutely right! My hair is more red (which I do like), but I want the more violet tones back. I just don't know how to do this on my own. I mean I've dyed my hair before but it either doesn't come out the way I wanted or it's a bit uneven

I really like the colour you have got at the moment but if you are thinking of getting the violet tones back (which would look really good) make sure to get it done professionally so that things don't go wrong and it will look better. Also, I you do decide to get anything done make sure to post a picture of it! Hope this helps:) ♡

I have tried to maintain mine too. I get it to be purple, but it always comes out too dark. I'm never as satisfied with it as I was when I got it done from the salon. I think I just put too much violet in when I mix as it turns out way too dark. I don't really want to practice it anymore because I can't get the right colors.
I wonder what would happen if you used a toner that was purple and did a red-violet mix. Now I'm wondering if I should dye it again. D:
