I wash and straighten my hair everyday, and most days I blow dry it too and my hair it perfectly healthy. My hair is about 2/3 inches longer then shoulder length and it's very thick, it just depends on what hair type you have

I have thick hair, and I find that washing it every other day is enough, fine hair gets greasy quicker but thick hair doesn't need to be washed every day.

Steph please wash your dreads its a common misconception that dreads are dirty or supposed to be dirty. Dreads need to be washed to lock, keep nasty oils out of then and be free of dirty and other elements! But as for the main question I go for every other day.
