Hairdresser :) you probably won't be able to do this by yourself if you aren't experienced with hair dying generally speaking as this is a little more complicated. The hairdresser would have to dye your hair in steps, probably the roots first and then the balayage.

Thank you so much shaye and appi I have one more quick question how do I keep my hair healthy through the process? I have coloured my hair in over a year I'm growing it out and I've been very kind to my hair I know this maybe gross but I only wash my hair twice a week I use heat as little as possible I do a coconut oil treatment once a week and I use a hair mask once a week is there anything else I could be doing to keep my hair healthy?

You're welcome :) what I did when I coloured my hair a lot was make sure I was using Argan oil in my hair after every wash, Babyliss makes one that's been pretty good to my hair, Moroccan oil is good too :) I only wash my hair like 2/3 times a week too lol but the less you wash it the more the natural oils will help nourish your hair. So you're already doing lots of good things to help keep it healthy but a good hair oil/serum will really help too :) another product I seem to like is the Garnier Fructis sleek and shine anti frizz serum to keep my hair from frizzing. :)

Go to a salon that carries Olaplex. They will add it into the lightner they use, it will cause far less damage. There is a take home treatment to use in conjunction with the process, it will maintain the integrity of your hair. Also, please have realistic expectations, going that light takes time and you should be ready for it to take multiple sessions especially if you want to keep your hair in relatively good condition. Chemically altering your hair, especially lightening, will always cause damage, you are removing more than just pigment when you do. But if you take the time to do it the right way, this color is gorgeous and I totally recommend it.
