Hey there! So my hair is so oily! I wash it every night and in the morning I wake up and it looks like I haven't showered in a week! I know the only thing to really solve it is to stop washing my hair every day, but I can't- no hairstyle or anything can solve my oily hair and I do not feel comfortable at school knowing my scalp is a grease ball. So I've decided that every other night instead of washing it I will put dry shampoo in it instead. Now, I'm wondering if that defeats the purpose of getting my hair used to not being washed? Or is it okay?

I don't think it defeats the purpose. I use dry shampoo on second hair to help with the oil. You should be fine (:

I use to be like this when I was younger. I solved the problem by washing my hair with dish soap! I used whatever grease fighting formula my mom had under the kitchen sink cabinet. Sounds crazy but it works wonders! Shampoo with the dish soap and rinse. Repeat if necessary. Finally shampoo with your regular hair shampoo and use hair conditioner only on the ends of your hair. Never on your roots or scalp. Rinse with cool water. Please let me know how you made out! Palmolive or Dawn or any grease fighting brand is what I used.
